ZMAP "Seismological Software"

ZMAP is a tool that has a GUI that is designed to assist seismologist in analyzing seismic catalogs. ZMAP first introduced by Stefan Wiemer's in 1994.

Some of the capabilities and applications of ZMAP can be used among others in assessing the quality of earthquake catalogs and data exploration, mapping the values of b (b value) beneath a volcano magma to infer the location information, estimates seismicity changes caused by an earthquake, stress-tensor inversion in a grid to measure the heterogeneity of stress field, mapping the magnitude of complete reporting and other applications are still a lot we can get from ZMAP.

We can meet Tool in the ZMAP include Histogram, Data Import, and Catalog Comparison, Time Series Analysis, Data Subset Selection, Map, Genas, Declustering, Mapping seismicity rates, Aftershock Decay rates, Frequency-magnitude Distribution, Magnitude of Completeness, Fractal Dimension, Quarry Maps, Time to Failure, Stress Tensor, Cumulative Misfit which each course has a purpose

  1. Hello, I am doing my dissertation on blast-induced seismicity, and I would be interested in applying and learning the Zmap software, but I have not been able to get it, someone has knowledge about it please share in favor of science

Thank you for your attention and time
